Class Projects
ENGR 115 is a course focused on teaching students about teamwork and the design process through a quarter-long design project and is a requirement for all first-year engineering students. Student projects in this class are structured around researching, designing, and fabricating a prototype solution to a problem. There has been a recent effort by faculty to provide students with the opportunity to work on open-ended, community service-oriented projects in ENGR 115.
Be prepared to mess up, be prepared to do everything you thought was perfect all over again.
Dee M., ENGR 115 student
Trust the design process.
Owen V.D., ENGR 115 student
My favorite part was the creativity and freedom to have our own design and project but have them work with each other.
Aldo R.G., ENGR 115 student
