Log into your WWU email!
If you chose an interest in one of our degrees on your WWU application, you will receive this email a couple of days prior to your scheduled Advising & Registration date. In this email you will find suggestions for fall quarter course registration. These course suggestions are based on the major/s of interest on your WWU application AND math placement scores, AP scores, and/or transfer credits.
Declare your pre-major
Send email to ENGD@wwu.edu and include this information:
Name, W#, intended major - Electrical and Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Polymer Materials Engineering.
Industrial Design requires an entrance portfolio acceptance before declaring a pre-major. Check out ID admissions for more information.
Keep in mind that you can change your pre-major at any time! Declaring now gives you a "place at WWU" and an advising contact.
Math Placement Assessment
Incoming students are required to complete the ALEKS Math Placement Assessment in order to register for a math course. If students have math transfer credits, or AP scores, it is likely that you won't need to take the placement exam.
Course planning
You will register for fall quarter classes during your Orientation, Advising & Registration session. Below are course suggestions based on your major of interest. If you are a high-credit freshman or a transfer student, please look in your western email for a message from Lisa Ochs with course suggestions. You may have transfer credits to cover the courses listed below.
Courses may look full prior to your registration day, but don't panic. The registration system adds seats every day to common 100-level courses like PHYS 161, CHEM 161, and MATH 124.
ENGR 101 will fill up. This course will be offered again in winter quarter.
